RD1001 GSA

The Reclamation District 1001 (RD1001) is acting as the GSA for its service area within the North American Subbasin (NASb). RD1001 has entered into an agreement with Pleasant Grove-Verona Mutual Water Company to delegate SGMA implementation activities within the company’s service area in the NASb. The RD1001 GSA was designated as the exclusive GSA for its portion of the NASb in July 2017.

Sacramento Groundwater Authority GSA

The Sacramento Groundwater Authority (SGA) is acting as the GSA for its management area in the North American Subbasin (NASb), which includes all of Sacramento County north of the American River. SGA is a joint powers authority formed in 1998 and is managed by a 16-member Board that includes public water agencies, private water companies, and representatives of self-supplied agricultural and commercial/ industrial groundwater users. The SGA GSA was designated as the exclusive GSA for its portion of the NASb in January 2016.

South Sutter Water District GSA

The South Sutter Water District (SSWD) is acting as the GSA within its service in the North American Subbasin (NASb). The SSWD GSA was designated as the exclusive GSA for its portion of the NASb in June 2017.

Sutter County GSA

Sutter County is acting as the GSA for portions of the county not covered by another GSA. In the North American Subbasin (NASb), Sutter County has entered an agreement with Natomas Central Mutual Water Company to delegate SGMA implementation activities within the Natomas service area. The Sutter County GSA was designated as the exclusive GSA for its portion of the NASb in July 2017.

West Placer County GSA

The West Placer GSA was formed by five public agencies with water management or land use authority in a portion of the North American Subbasin (NASb) located within Placer County: the County of Placer, the City of Roseville, the City of Lincoln, the Placer County Water Agency, and the Nevada Irrigation District, all of which are water purveyors. The West Placer GSA was designated as the exclusive GSA for its portion of the NASb in September 2017.
